Touhou 10 ????? ? Mountain of Faith Reitaisai Demo update, horribly translated
Through the combined powers of WWWJDIC, Google Translate, rikaichan, and limited Japanese syntax knowledge, I summon you, makeshift translation! ZUN updated his blog again with three more screenshots of Touhou 10, and substantial news regarding the demo (or what I can make of it).
I assume no responsibility for any misunderstandings or rumours that might stem as a result of reading this, so if you like your information accurate and error-free, DIY. It’s also more natural than literal, so there might be nuances lost in translation that I’m not aware of. Notes are italicised in brackets.
Reitaisai is near
And it’d be pretty unwise to have so little news regarding Fuujinroku [hereby referred to Mountain of Faith] out at this point in time, so here’s a bit of information and things you should take note of regarding the system requirements.
First of all, the specs required in order to run Mountain of Faith aren’t high, just like every other game made so far [unsure of exact phrasing]; for instance, if you couldn’t run Shoot the Bullet smoothly, chances are you won’t be able to run Mountain of Faith smoothly either. In addition to that, DirectX 9.0c (released on October 2006) is also required, so please download it from Microsoft’s website before playing.
No support or compensation will be offered if your computer is damaged [not so sure about this part]
In addition to that, the manual will not be included as it hasn’t been completed as of now. However, an online manual will be up on the homepage for players to use for the time being.
Oh, and the demo will cost 300 Yen. Please bring 100 Yen coins with which to pay before you line up. It’s subject to change, but depending on the circumstances and amount of people attending… (sales might be restricted to 1 per person). [I think, because this doesn't really make sense to me.]
There won’t be anything else sold aside from the trial version. This is to ensure the queue at the circle [I'm assuming this is in reference to ZUN's booth] moves smoothly.
Some screenshots:
Reimu and Marisa will do battle with 3 types of abilities each, for 6 types total. The focus this time round is on enjoying the game. Playing games like these usually result in the experience being more work than fun, so in order for everyone to have fun I’ve made considerable changes. [taking great liberty with this]
[indecipherable sentence about a favourite character in a shooting game, with references presumably pointing to difficulty]The screenshots above are of Marisa’s new abilities [translated from "equipment"]. As you can see, I’ve fixed her with the option to be considerably stronger.
Will edit this if I can find a better translation later.
